A Heart for Evelyn- A Childhood On Hold Until a Heart is Found with ABC-6’s Robin Wolfram
Even though Evelyn couldn’t be part of the interview in person, she still found a way to be involved. She made a thank-you card for the news team, and it was actually aired on live TV. Seeing that moment meant so much to us. She also received a very sweet care package from the people at the studio.
Robin even invited Evelyn to come back and co-host once she receives her new heart and has had time to recover, something we are all holding onto hope for.
When we got back to the hospital, Evelyn’s nurse stopped me outside her room to tell me how proud she was and how excited she was to see Evelyn’s thank-you card on TV. Moments like that remind us just how many people are cheering Evelyn on.
