Finally, all of the official lab results from Everett’s broken red blood cells are back, and the transplant team has confirmation for what they have suspected for the past few weeks. While it was not news we wanted to hear, it’s a relief to finally know what’s happening. This issue is also quite rare, so Dr.Prasad will consult with colleagues to determine the best way to proceed.

Additionally, if medication is needed, it is quite expensive (approximately $42,000 each month), so we are hopeful our insurance will cover it.
