Give A Little: Help A Lot: New Tradition!

Hello From Heeth’s Mom:

We hope everyone is doing well!  Heeth continues to work on getting stronger and back to all of the things he loves in life.  This past month Heeth got to have a visit from his Tae Tae, play on his first basketball team, and got to visit a couple of ski mountains.  I continue to be thankful every single day for all the precious moments we get to have together.

Many of you wonderful folks helped Heeth last year with his visit back to 6W with the intention of helping others and thanking his team.

This Sunday marks the year anniversary from when Heeth got to come home from the hospital and was beginning the road to recovery thanks to his sister and incredible medical team. His treatment took many unexpected and scary turns, but his team pushed on and did not give up.

No kid should ever have to go through what Heeth (or other critically ill kids) went through: it’s not fair.

However, the generosity of others: donating to help make these children’s experiences a little brighter truly makes a difference.  Last year when Heeth came home the first thing he wanted to do was give back to 6W: he was so thankful they saved his life.

The 6W wishlist not only helps make a child who is undergoing grueling treatment have a smile, many of the items also help a parent keep going.  I remember having moments when I wasn’t sure I could keep standing from fear and sleep exhaustion, and a nice cup of coffee from the k-cup machine in the parent room made all the difference.

How you may consider helping:
Below is 6W’s Wishlist.   If you would like to purchase an item or 2 for the kids on 6W and their families, Heeth would greatly appreciate it.  We will be collecting items until May 1st and plan to bring them down to his team the following week.  Last year we had a whole trunk full and Heeth hopes to do the same each year.  Below is the link: please make sure to switch the delivery address to our family’s address so that Heeth may deliver these in person.  We will sign all your names on the card so the families know how many people are rooting for these brave children.  Please spread the word and thank you so much for considering helping children and families to remain positive in the toughest moments of their lives!

HUGE HUGS FROM HEETH!
