FLAT HUNTER TRAVELS THE GLOBE TO BUILD HEART TRANSPLANT AWARENESS
To Help Teenager Hunter C Find a New Heart

November 14, 2014 – Ponte Vedra, Fla. – Hunter C is a 17-year-old who is awaiting a life-saving heart transplant for complications of Hypoplastic Left Heart syndrome, a condition with which he was born. Hunter is no longer able to attend high school and is missing out on the usual teenager experiences of prom, hanging out with friends, etc. Hunter remains restricted within 2 hours of Gainesville, Florida where he will ultimately receive his new heart and transplant procedure.

The Heart for Hunter team of volunteers in North Florida has been helping to raise awareness for Hunter as his lifetime financial needs are projected to approach $250,000. This amount is above and beyond his insurance coverage and his resources The Heart for Hunter team is a grassroots effort that is currently working with the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) to raise funds for children like Hunter.   Flat Hunter is a targeted campaign that was launched to help COTA for Hunter C so Hunter can live a healthy, fulfilling life.

“We are amazed at how Hunter continues to remain so positive and we are grateful for the support of our Heart for Hunter team and the prayers, phone calls and social media that has helped Hunter stay connected,” said Hunter’s mom, Nancy Crain.

Hunter, COTA and the Heart for Hunter team is hoping that Flat Hunter will travel locally, regionally and worldwide to experience exciting adventures and that photos can be posted via social media to raise awareness for heart transplants and COTA for Hunter C. Flat Hunter will be happy to go to work with you; join a fun outdoor experience; attend a football, baseball, basketball game; experience skydiving, surfing, zip-lining and travel with you anywhere in the world!  The Heart for Hunter team hopes you and your community will get involved:
