Last week Isaac’s Make-A-Wish was granted! He had been asking about it a lot lately, and it came at the perfect time. Larry and I knew it was supposed to arrive in April, but we kept that information a secret from Isaac so he could be surprised!

“WHAT WAS HIS WISH?”

Isaac wished for a new gaming set-up so he could play with his friends! He and Larry got to sit down and create a wish list, but Isaac wasn’t sure what he would actually receive from the list. Last Friday, the first couple of pieces to his gaming set-up arrived and would arrive at our door in pieces over the following few days. It became clear that we would not be able to intercept all the packages and keep it a secret from Isaac, so after the Top Golf event last Saturday, we surprised Isaac with his new gaming laptop! He wished for a laptop so that he could stay connected to his friends while he is impatient after his heart transplant.

When we arrived home from Top Golf, Larry surprised Isaac with his new curved monitor and his gaming chair arrived on our doorstep! That evening his new gaming desktop computer arrived, and on Monday he received a large desk pad, wireless gaming mouse, keypad and headphones. He was set!

Friday we took him out to dinner to celebrate, and the wish team sent him a celebration box with some cool funko pops for his desk, rope lights, a gaming pillow and $100 in steam gift cards so he can buy more games in the future.

We are so grateful to Make-A-Wish for this incredible gift that has Isaac smiling more than we’ve ever seen! While we are incredibly grateful for how stable and resilient Isacc is, waiting for a new heart and being hooked up to a pump all the time can be hard and discouraging. Make-A-Wish brings joy that can help carry kids through the hard things no kid should ever have to endure.
