On our last visit to the cardiologist on the month of June, Dr. Castleberry informed us that our best choice was to admit Isaih to the hospital to get Milrinone therapy medication that is better known as primacor therapy this is going to help Isaih with his oxygen levels increasing his heart contractility and decreasing pulmonary vascular resistance. This is going to help Isaih not get as tired. They are also checking his brain and kidney ocygen levels,Isaih will be going home with this PICC line if everything goes as planned we will be home in 3 days meaning that his body will take the medication smoothly and as planned. As of yesterday, 6/30/2021, he was on Milrinone dose at 0.25 mcg/kg/min giving him a total 1.30ml, but the medication was increased to 0.5 mcg/kg/min. If this doesn’t help, they will not be sending him home and if everything goes as planned Isaih will be going with Milrinone and Enalapril medication that he has taken all his life. After they send us home, they will repeat an echocardiogram to make sure his heart is working well. He will continue to follow up with Dr. Castleberry frequently. as his body gets used to the medication.doctor said if everything looks good we will be going home next wednesday.
