American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month – a month dedicated to heart health awareness.

Last May, we celebrated Jacob’s one year Heartversary, and in August, we celebrated his 9th Birthday.  This month, we celebrate everyone who has been touched by heart disease.  We are very proud of Jacob, his strength and his progress.  He is always smiling and pushing forward.  He enjoys video games, legos, Pokemon cards and having fun with his brother, Jack.  However, Jacob continues to need medical care and therapy, and will continue to do so for the rest of his life.

We are grateful for the tremendous love and support we have received from friends, family and neighbors.  And one day soon, we hope to be able to host another fundraiser.  In the meantime, support for Jacob’s Journey is still being accepted here on COTA’s website.  You can also show your support by following Jacob’s Journey on Facebook @jacobkjourney, on Instagram @jacobs_journey_chicago and on Twitter @JacobsJourney2.
