Today brought some good news and hopefully the end of this hospital stay! 🙏🏻

Jaime had his paracentesis today, and they were able to remove 1.1 liters of clear fluid from his belly. His tummy is still pretty big, but there is definitely a noticeable difference, and he was down 2.3 pounds afterward.The good news is there are no signs of infection in the fluid they removed! The procedure completely wore our little guy out, and he spent a good part of the afternoon sleeping and recovering. He is finishing up an albumin infusion now to help his body after having so much fluid removed.

If everything continues to go as planned, he should get to head HOME once the albumin is finished tonight! We will continue to monitor him at home as this virus has to run its course.

It’s been another long few days for Jaime, but we’re very thankful for some good news today and ready to get this sweet boy back home where he belongs and hug our other boy tight, too. 💙
