Jen’s October 2nd Homecoming, after spending three months pre and post-double lung transplant, at NYU Langone Health, homecoming was bittersweet.

Unfortunately, Jen was admitted back to NYU today in less than a week, due to significant chronic nausea as a result of her lung transplant— A common problem. We are waiting to hear a plan from her two NYU GI specialist teams soon.

As a result of her Cystic Fibrosis disease, Jen has always had chronic GI problems. However, the effects were easily treated with medications before and after her first lung transplant.

We are hopeful that her NYU GI surgeons can help fix this latest problem with a minimally invasive GI procedure.

Having significant nausea each and every day is absolutely horrible and bittersweet, after a major transplant surgery.
