It has been a year since we started our initial effort to put John on a transplant list. We finally accomplished the necessary prerequisites a couple of months ago but we had to go looking elsewhere for acceptance on a transplant list.

The Miami Transplant Institute is that place!!! AND THEY ARE PUTTING JOHN ON THEIR TRANSPLANT LIST!! WOO HOO!! We got the approval today!! We have to wait a week for the insurance to clear so sometime toward the end of next week he will finally be placed on the list!! And what a place to be listed! The ONLY hospital where we’ve been encouraged by nurses & doctors to invoke God!! That is not a common theme anymore but they are not ashamed to say it. In her notes, the Nephrologist calls us a “lovely family.” We are happy tonight. Happy to finally have that door open to us.

Now it is time to redouble our efforts for a LIVING DONOR. We do have two good hearted sisters who are willing to go through the testing to be a donor and for them we are eternally grateful.
