Prayer warriors, thank you for your patience and PRAYERS. In celebration of Jonah’s 7-month birthday, we are thrilled to share that transplant surgery is a GO for this Thursday, August 19.
Mom (Danielle) will donate 14% of her liver to Jonah. Surgery begins at 8:30 am and there is so much to share and so many prayer requests, though not sure we will get to post everything until things “settle” after transplant. Logistics
- Jonah and dad (Sean) will check into Georgetown Wednesday
- Mom will be escorted by her sister, Kiki Kerry, Thursday morning
- The entire transplant surgery from mom to Jonah will be anywhere from 6-9 hours
- Each will go to their respective ICU rooms for at least a day of monitoring
- Jonah will be admitted with dad for at least 2 weeks
- Mom will be admitted 5-7 days as long as there are no complications
- Caleb will be spoiled silly at home
- When mom returns home to continue recovering, we will share ways to support the family (meals, groceries, fundraising, etc.)
Prayer Requests
- Continued hope and reliance on our Savior in spite of our circumstances and wandering minds
- That our Great Physician guides each member of the surgery teams leading to a successful transplant
- Strength for Jonah and Mom’s speedy, thorough recoveries
- Steadfastness for Sean as he bears thru isolation in the hospital, long nights with Jonah, weeks without Caleb, and a chopped-liver wife
- Comfort for Caleb as he holds down the home front
- Blessings to all who are caring for and supporting each of us through this journey
