Press conference to announce details surrounding the official launch of the fundraising campaign for Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA). Funds raised support a lifetime of transplant related expenses. The family is announcing the COTA for Jonah’s Journey fundraising campaign for six-year-old Jonah Allgeier, of Millcreek Township.
Jonah was diagnosed with Restrictive Cardiomyopathy in December of 2022 and was recently life-flighted to Cleveland Clinic. The severity of his diagnosis requires Jonah to remain hospitalized until he receives a heart transplant.
The family has partnered with COTA, a national 501(c)3 charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. A lofty goal of $360,000 has been set.
While the donations have started coming in, family members will be on hand to discuss how local businesses can help in the effort, and details will be released on other fundraising efforts that are currently underway thanks to local restaurants and organizations. Secure credit card gifts are accepted online at www.COTAforJonahsJourney.com.
