I am so proud of how well my men folk have been healing and dealing with their post-transplant doctor’s appts.
Daniel just went to his 6mo follow up and it is confirmed he is running at 75% for his kidney. Which was expected but with time they hope that he can achieve at least 80%.
On the flip side, Josiah’s Kidney function is at 100% and after 4/5 he will be only needing to go to clinic 1x a month! What a great relief and a return to normalcy.
As you can imagine it has been a super stressful time for Josiah… the renal failure to dialysis and transplant timeline has been so short (but also felt so long). And despite the school’s efforts to keep Josiah up-to-date with his studies, getting back into the swing of school after Christmas Break has been challenging and he feels like he has missed some important pieces (especially in Math).
Regardless of the challenges this past year has dealt us, we continue to move forward, with hope in our heart and with the grace of God as our support we know everything will work out for good!
