On Saturday, July 24th, the Tuscarora Motorcycle Club hosted a Poker Run For COTA in honor of Lainee. This was the most exciting day filled with a couple of firsts. It was Lainee’s first time on a motorcylce and Lainee’s first father-daughter dance at Use to Be’s establishment. The day started at the Motorcycle Clubhouse (MC house). Everyone registered, drew a card and the game was on. The bikers promptly headed out at 2:00pm. A few car drivers follwed behind. Three stops were made where partcipants would draw another poker card and purchase refreshments, hang out, shoot pool, throw darts or just shoot the breeze. The final stop was back at the MC house where the final card was drawn. The winner with the best hand was awarded a shotgun. I was not that person. My hand was horrible from the first card drawn. We dined on some fabulous BBQ with all the fixins’. These cooks could give my grandmother a run for her money. It was a great day and we all got to meet some new friends.
