Today was a bit of a roller coaster as Lily’s body is adjusting to all the medication.  Just today she experienced shakiness, stomachaches, vomiting, and random hot flashes. She decided her cherry popsicle would be best suited to cool her face off!  She’s starting to notice the pain and itching from her stitches down her chest.  But she did make it to the play room for more water coloring and down the elevator to the lobby.  Tomorrow, she needs to tackle stairs and should have her PICC line and last IV removed.  She’s starting to talk and smile more again.  However, whenever the nurses poke or remove stickies, she glazes over and withdraws into herself again.  She’s done hearing that she’s brave and strong, she just wants it to be done.
