Because Luke has been on the transplant list for a year, his team in Pittsburgh requested we make a visit for a follow-up evaluation and to do some labs. The doctors loved seeing how big he’s gotten and the in person visit was beneficial for that reason. We were told they receive calls for him “not infrequently” but are being very selective with which organ to take so we have the best match possible when the time comes. I’m so impressed with how Lukey handled it all! Pittsburgh looked pretty this time of year and I hope one day we can spend more time exploring the area!
