Day 32 Special Report: Tomorrow morning Mars heads to the OR to get his central line removed, it was placed during his heart surgery so they will use a sedative to keep him comfortable while they remove it. And there are whispers and rumblings of… dare I say it… Discharge soon!!! Marshall has been working his way through 50-60 oz of water per day and getting up and moving enough to appease our overlords and we are hoping and praying we soon shall see our beautiful home again! Not sure how soon but hopeful it will be in the next few days. After discharge we will have frequent appointments and another cath/heart biopsy in the next couple of weeks. But to take Marshall’s beautiful new heart for a spin outside of hospital walls will be the biggest thrill we can imagine! We thank God, the Universe and Stars, the medical team, nurses, surgeons, doctors, therapists, care techs and all of Marshall’s online friends for staying positive and cheering him on through this very arduous journey. And our sincerest thanks and admiration to Marshall’s donor hero!
