After being home for a whole week I just wanted to give a little update on Marshall, he is doing well at home, getting a little more back to normal each day. We are laying pretty low due to how prevalent flu and other viruses are right now and focusing on trying to feel a little more like ourselves… Monday, Marshall will head back up to Childrens for a heart cath and biopsy but the plan is for a relatively easy procedure and return home the same day. We are praying the good results come back quickly and we can continue getting further out from transplant with less clinic visits and testing. The no fat diet continues to be less than desireable but we are doing our best to keep the calories coming to get Marshall back to fighting weight, he lost nearly 10 pounds during his hospital stay. Every day we continue to be blown away by the kindness and support of our community, which has made this whole process much easier to deal with. Thank you so much to SYAA, Scottdale Library, Chamber of Commerce, Southmoreland School District, Lindy, Linzey, Amanda, Amy, everyone from Scottdale that collaborated to welcome Marshall home, my very sweet, gracious, and very smart coworkers from Frick Hospital, everyone who sent Marshall little packages of cheer, and all of our friends and family for your unwavering support.
