Post op Day 8: (6/27/25) Last night Noah had a dark stool that test positive for blood, however the surgeon is not super concerned, she believes it is old blood related to surgery. He was started on medications to help that today. Stools are back to normal this afternoon. He got to start eating by mouth today as well. Tonight he worked his way up to eating SIX ounces by mouth at one time (which is a big deal when you’ve been on tube feeds for past 3 months, and continuous feed for the past month). If he continues to do well tomorrow, he can get rid of his NG tube tomorrow afternoon!!! We are so ready to see his sweet face free of tubes and tape! He is overall doing great.
