Nora was taken off ECMO last week after 46 days and is doing great with just the ventilator! Praise the Lord! Dialysis will continue for a little while longer, but her kidneys are starting to show signs of improvement. She remains on the ventilator to support her breathing and on sedation to keep her comfortable and not move around too much. However, they have stopped the paralytic medicines- which means she can open her eyes and wiggle her sweet little hands and feet! Physical Therapy is working with her, and even though she was groggy, they were able to support her sitting up ! We are so amazed at her strength!
