Well, here we are… day 1. Events of this very emotional day:
- Loaded several suitcases into the car that were filled with necessities for the next several weeks to make her room feel more like home.
- Said goodbye to Hannah and the dogs. Hannah will be able to visit often, but was still an emotional day for her.
- Admitted and checked in to her room by 10am.
- Met with her nurses and participated in the doctors rounds for the first time. Lots of admin paperwork and verifying information.
- Began first round of rATG (chemotherapy) at 5:20pm. The first round will take 6 hours. If all goes well they can speed up tomorrows dose.
- Today’s prayer: Araeya really wanted Starbucks. She also prayed for a speedy recovery so she can get home soon (she really said she just wanted to leave but since that’s not possible, we edited it)

Do you have any food restrictions? And what’s your favorite Starbucks?? Two very important questions.
