On Thursday the 11th, Reese had his follow-up appointment for his drain. His doctors decided that everything looked great and after 12 very long weeks the drain is OUT! After having to take sponge baths for the past 12 weeks, Reese is more than ready to splash and kick in the bathtub again without a worry!

Reese also had his labs checked again and everything looked great besides his hemoglobin level which was pretty low at 6.7. His doctors decided he would need a blood transfusion to bring that back up before heading home. Reese had to be admitted to receive the transfusion, but is back home now getting more and more back to his happy self!

Reese did very well throughout all of this and continues to show us that he can handle just about anything. He has another follow-up appointment in May where they will do an ultrasound just to make sure everything is still looking good with his bile duct. We are so thankful that the drain was able to be removed just in time for all the outdoor fun this spring and summer!
