The day we’ve been praying for!!! 50 days after liver transplant surgery and then the agony of his body rejecting it, we’re going HOME!!! Of course the thymoglobulin treatment had to bring new terrors as he had a mild reaction to it, turning a 10 hour infusion into an all day and night treatment. But he fought with his usual strength, and here we are, on level ground for the first time since transplant and on our way home!!

What a wild, long ride this has been! We will have weekly, then biweekly check ups in Chicago for the next few months, and those will spread out depending on his progress. We pray that the worst is behind us and that God grants continued healing for his future. We also thank God for every prayer and all the support everyone has given. We are so very grateful to all!
