After a brief 24 hours of being home, Roman started feeling ill on Thursday afternoon (9.5.24). He then started vomiting and complaining of abdominal pain. After speaking with his transplant team, Hunt took him to Erlanger ER. After arriving and there and conferring with the team at Vanderbilt the decision was made to transfer Roman via ambulance.

The next day his CT scan revealed internal bleeding. We still don’t know what caused it or the vomiting (it’s a bit of chicken or the egg situation). He is currently admitted to Vanderbilt Children’s while they run all the tests to see what they can determine.

He is in excellent spirits and enjoyed seeing his doctors. We will update when we know more!
