Google Calendar | iCal FeedWe invite you to join us for a very special and unforgettable evening of music and stories to benefit the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) in honor of 8-month-old baby Rose Daniel from Nashville, TN.
Baby Rose was born on January 19, 2022 with a rare and fatal liver disease called biliary atresia that occurs in 1 in 15,000 births. There is no known cause or cure for this disease and a liver transplant is almost always required. Biliary atresia is a blockage in the ducts that carry bile from the liver to the gallbladder. This congenital condition occurs when the bile ducts inside or outside the liver do not develop normally. Baby Rose went into total liver failure shortly after being born and at only 5 1/2 months old on July 9, 2022 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital she received a liver transplant. Because of an organ donor, her life was saved. Although Baby Rose is currently doing well, the battle to keep her liver healthy will be lifelong and come with extensive costs.
Doors will open at 6pm for cocktails and an art sale with a variety of art donated from local artists. The show will begin at 7pm, featuring stories and songs from successful songwriters Jenny Gill, Kim McLean, Billy Dawson, Greg Barnhill, Emily Daniel and other special guests (including Jack Settle and also Kent Blazy to sing his hit song “If Tomorrow Never Comes”) to raise awareness and money for COTA in honor of Rose to assist with transplant-related expenses.
