Roya’s been recovering from her transplant surgery with such perseverance and strength. Despite her ongoing struggles with nausea and high blood pressure she has been able to walk without support today and has been doing laps of the ICU unit. She told me she’s mostly excited to take a bath and to run fast when we are discharged. Once she’s well enough to leave the hospital we’ll stay in Rochester for about three months to be seen at Mayo clinic. Thank you all again for your support; we’ll never be able to thank you all enough. Derek and I are so humbled by the kindness of our community.
