12/21/25

December 21st is the Winter Solstice — the darkest day of the year. And in every way, this season has been the darkest time of our lives.

But starting tomorrow, the days begin to slowly get longer. Each day will hold a few more minutes of light than the day before. It’s almost imperceptible at first, but it adds up. That’s what we’re choosing to focus on, and how we’re getting through this: one day at a time, moving forward little by little.

We are deeply grateful to the people who have carried us through this season and continue to show up for our family. To those who have donated in support of Sabrina’s transplant journey, sent cards, purchased apparel through the COTA fundraiser, purchased products through the L’Bri fundraiser, stopped by the hospital for a quick visit to lift our spirits, checked in with steady texts, sent DoorDash gift cards, and brought us so many meals — please know how much it has meant to us. We appreciate all of it.

We’ll keep taking this one day at a time, hoping for a little more light each day. ☀️
