Thank you so much to everyone who supported the COTA for Sabrina’s Change of Heart Panda Express fundraiser.
Whether you love Panda Express or you love Sabrina (we’re going to assume both 😉), we are so grateful.

Seeing the support come in—from friends, family, coworkers, and even entire workplaces—was incredibly moving. There is something so powerful about knowing people are showing up and actively rooting for your child—it’s a sharp, humbling kind of emotion that’s hard to put into words.

This season continues to be a mix of really hard days and really good moments. There have been some overwhelming days… but also more laughs, more smiles, and real progress.

Sabrina has gained weight (now over 18 lbs!) which is a big deal for her. Her BNP this week was also 152—this is a lab that measures how much stress the heart is under, and lower is better. For Sabrina, it means her heart is under less strain and her treatment is working as well as it can right now. Her heart failure team is really happy about this current number.

We are still waiting at Status 1B for a heart transplant. 1B can be a long wait, and that reality is hard—knowing she needs a new heart, but not knowing when that chance will come.

We’re trying to live in the middle of it—to find joy where we can and soak in the good moments along the way.
