• A kidney from a living donor offers patients an alternative to years of dialysis and time on the national transplant waiting list (the living donor’s remaining kidney will enlarge, doing the work of two healthy kidneys).

When we see the stats we know that Lauryn has been lucky even with all of the procedures, doctors visits, medication juggling and dialysis. She was able to benefit from a living donation.  Others are not as lucky.  While we are still working to support Lauryn’s recovery through COTA, consider signing up to be a donor yourself.
