This little boy has endured so much in the past year and a half. So many set backs and obstacles but they have all led him to this amazing moment, the moment that still feels like a dream to him! He has the very best spirit and the biggest heart, he is so happy to have gotten this amazing gift and is already working so hard to get back to his best life!
Organ transplantation is an amazing journey that tests the limits of human strength and courage. It requires commitment and faith as well as mental, emotional, and physical endurance. If you can handle transplantation, you can conquer anything you set your mind to. It is one of life’s greatest challenges, and amount the rewards is LIFE itself! These guys are two of the bravest people I know. Thank you to everyone who prayed, sent thoughtful wishes, and kind words.

“The family and friends of Raith want to invite everyone in the community to attend Pizza for a Purpose at Hand Fire Pizza to help celebrate Raith’s successful kidney transplant,” said Cristine Wehner, Raith’s aunt. “Money raised from this event will assist with transplant-related expenses.”
Raith Wehner’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity based in Bloomington, Indiana. COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are completely free of charge, and 100% of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses.
