Yesterday was a day for Taylor. She started the day by getting upright and taking little baby steps bedside and getting to a chair. From there Wayne read her all of her cheer cards (THANK YOU!!!) and she got a bath. TJ was absolutely exhausted afterwards and got back to bed.
As the day went on we noticed her glucose numbers a but all over the place. High and then very low. As the night went on Wayne and I went back to the RMH (it’s attached to the hospital) and around midnight we got the call the TJs numbers were pretty low for blood and that they needed to give her a few units and that she was having a tube site that was soaking through her dressings and gown. We rushed back over to her room to be bedside. She continued to have a very rough night and woke up pretty tired this morning. Totally expected. A win we had this morning was getting rid of TJs “tree” of an iv pole and simplified it to 1 pole hopefully making it easier to manage when OT tries to get her up.
Also, today is the COTA fundraiser back home. Please consider going to not only support the COTA for TJ the Pancreatitis Warrior campaign but to also support a great group of young women on BOTH teams.
CHEER CARDS…she absolutely loves these. Feel free to send her as many as you would like
