Our Story
Meet Zach. He is 10 years old and full of life. Zach loves to play with Legos, ride his bike, and play with his brothers & sisters. Zach, unfortunately, was born with very weak kidneys. In his 10 years, he has been life flighted 12 times and spent nearly a fifth of his life in the hospital.
We are not here to make you sad, because Zach is not sad. In fact, Zach is one of the happiest, brave and strong young men you will ever meet! While Zach’s 10 years have been difficult- it is our hope that Zach has a full & rich life.
Here’s a brief summary of Zach’s life so far:

The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) helps children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant by providing fundraising assistance and family support. COTA is the nation’s only fundraising organization solely dedicated to raising life-saving dollars in honor of transplant-needy children and young adults. 100% of each contribution made to COTA in honor of our patients helps meet transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are free to our families, and gifts to COTA are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
