3/23/26 Update

We’ve been home for a couple of weeks now, and thankfully things have been going well. Last Monday, Zach had his feeding tube removed, and he’s been healing nicely since then.

He is now going in for weekly bloodwork to monitor his platelet count and make sure there are no underlying concerns. Looking ahead, we have our first follow-up appointment scheduled for May, which will involve a four-day stay back in Ohio. During that time, Zach will undergo a series of tests to evaluate the transplanted cells and determine whether they are beginning to function.

These follow-up visits will continue every three months over the next year as doctors closely track his progress. We are praying that the cells are starting to work and remain hopeful for complete healing and ultimately, that Zach can become insulin-free.

Thank you all so much for your continued support, kind words, and prayers. It truly means the world to us.
