Kathleen McNeely
Kathleen McNeely joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2009. She has been actively involved on the Compensation, Strategic Planning and Marketing, and Finance and Audit Committees. She currently serves as Chair of the Board of Directors. Kathleen chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “The Children’s Organ Transplant Association is a wonderful organization that provides hope and assistance to families who are in need of both financial and emotional support. I was proud to say ‘yes’ when asked to serve.”
Kathleen McNeely is retired. She spent more than 10 years with the NCAA as Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Mrs. McNeely holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
She and her husband live in Bloomington, Indiana, and have two children and six grandchildren.

Patrick “Pat” Fitzpatrick joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2016. He has been actively involved on the Strategic Planning & Marketing, Bylaws and Miracle Maker Celebration Committees. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Pat chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “A Board Member introduced me to COTA, and once I learned more about its mission at the Miracle Maker Celebration Dinner, I wanted to offer my skills to assist in COTA’s burgeoning growth. I am also passionate about COTA thanks to my wife Sarah – a licensed social worker – who has significant experience in the transplant field. This, coupled with COTA’s ability to remove the financial barriers for families facing transplant, resonated with me and I am thrilled to help the organization with its life-saving work.”
Pat Fitzpatrick is a Consultant for Eli Lilly and Company and has been since September 2019. Mr. Fitzpatrick holds sociology and film degrees from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and a Doctorate of Law from Fordham University School of Law in New York City.
He and his wife live in Indianapolis, Indiana, with their four children.

Zina Berry – Vice Chair

Zina Berry joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2019. She has been actively involved on the Strategic Planning & Marketing Committee and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Zina chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “I am honored to serve on a board of an organization that instills hope in families by helping them in their time of need. COTA combines two of my passions, organ transplant and helping children and families.”
Zina Berry is employed by Advanced Infusion Care. Dr. Berry holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Arizona.

David Ormstedt – Treasurer
David Ormstedt – Treasurer
David Ormstedt joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2014. He has been actively involved on the Nominating, Finance and Audit, and By Laws Committees. He currently serves as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors. David chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “Having been involved with charities my entire career, I was eager to offer my time and knowledge to an effective, efficient organization. COTA fit the bill. COTA’s ability to superbly help children and young adults who need a life-saving transplant flows from its dedicated and attentive management and staff members who are supported by a strong Board of Directors.”
David Ormstedt is a retired attorney. His 40-year career included 30 years with the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office as an Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Public Charities Unit. Mr. Ormstedt holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Doctorate of Law from the University of Connecticut.
He and his wife live in Bloomington, Indiana, have three children and three grandchildren.

Cassandra Amadio, CPA, joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2021. She has been actively involved on the Finance & Audit Committee. Cassandra chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “When I was introduced to COTA, I was incredibly moved by the work that is being done and the support this organization offers to transplant families. I personally have not had an experience with a transplant, but seeing what these families go through … I am so very grateful COTA exists. I am humbled and thrilled to be part of such an amazing organization.”
Cassandra Amadio is the Assistant Vice President and University Controller at Stony Brook University. Ms. Amadio holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and French from Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana. She also holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Jolene Ellis

Jolene Ellis joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2017. She has been actively involved on the Allocations Committee. Jolene chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “I am a pediatrician and love working with children. I have seen firsthand how long terminal illnesses can stress and impact whole families. I love COTA’s mission to help ease these stressors for families and children needing transplants. This organization fills an important need and I am very proud to serve on its Board of Directors.”
Jolene Ellis is a Pediatrician at Henry Ford Allegiance Pediatrics and has been since 2016. Dr. Ellis is a Board Certified Pediatrician with a medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Dr. Ellis completed her pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan at Wayne State University. She graduated from Greenville College with a Bachelor’s degree in 1985.
She and her husband live in Horton, Michigan. They have four children and one grandchild.

Michael Ford joined the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA) Board of Directors in 2002. He has been actively involved on the Compensation, Finance and Audit, and Strategic Planning & Marketing Committees. T. Michael chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “COTA brings hope to those who feel hopeless and to those who feel helpless. I do not know of a nobler calling one can have than to work and serve on behalf of those who are desperate and in need. This is the primary reason why I serve on the COTA Board of Directors.”
Michael Ford is the Special Assistant and Project Manager to the Associate Vice President for Budget and Planning at Indiana University. He has worked for Indiana University in various financial positions since 1995.
Mr. Ford holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Howard University, a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland, and is working on a Doctorate in Information Science from Claremont Graduate School.
He lives in Bloomington, Indiana, and has three children.

Julie Morgan
Julie Morgan
Julie Morgan joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2019. Since that time, she has been actively involved in a variety of ways, including on the Miracle Maker Celebration Committee. Julie chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “In 2017, our daughter Kennedy Grace Morgan was stillborn after being diagnosed with Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR). I wanted to channel my grief into a positive outlet that not only honored her memory, but also assisted babies, children and their parents who face health challenges and the financial strain associated with those challenges. I know that as a parent in a similar situation, you would do anything to save your child. The last thing a parent should have to worry about when faced with a child’s health crisis is the financial burden. I love that COTA allows families to focus on what is important by providing fundraising assistance and family support without charging for these services.”
Julie Morgan is a Renewals Manager at American Productivity & Quality Center, Inc. Mrs. Morgan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

Mr. Price holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Accounting from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana. Suzanne Seiders joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2017. She has been actively involved on the Allocations, Miracle Maker Celebration, and the Strategic Planning & Marketing Committees. Suzanne chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “It is an honor for me to serve on the COTA Board of Directors for a very personal reason. My family and I have witnessed firsthand the amazing role COTA plays in a child’s transplant journey because we are a COTA family. COTA was a Godsend for our family. Even though we were blessed with good insurance, the medical bills were overwhelming – especially our daughter’s monthly medication costs. Knowing we had a resource for those bills was a huge relief and allowed our major focus to be on her health and the wellbeing of our other children”
Suzanne Seiders works in Clinical Operations with personalized health care company, Accolade, Inc., and has been there since 2021. Prior to her work with Accolade, she served as the Director of Clinical Development & Education at Evolent Health and served as Manager of Care Management Projects/Education for the Indiana University Health System. Mrs. Seiders holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Susy Timmons, CCP, joined the COTA Board of Directors in 2022. She is actively involved on the Strategic Planning and Marketing team. Susy chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “COTA is near and dear to me because the organization assisted my family when my sister, Shelley Munk, needed a double lung transplant in 2018. She passed 19 months later when her kidneys failed from the anti-rejection drug regimen, but her new lungs were amazing! I was grateful she was able to experience full, deep and beautiful breaths before she died. COTA helped make that possible. I am forever grateful and cherish the opportunity to give back to this organization.
Ms. Timmons is retired from her compensation analyst position with The Capital Group in California. Susy holds a BA in Business Administration from The University of Nebraska at Kearney in Kearney, Nebraska.
She lives in Orange County, California, and has two grown children.

Yolanda chose to serve on COTA’s Board of Directors for a number of reasons, some of which are highlighted here. “When I was asked to fill the term of a COTA Board Member who needed to step down, I enthusiastically agreed. Serving on COTA’s Board of Directors gives me the opportunity to serve transplant-needy children and their families at a very vulnerable time in their lives. COTA’s mission is rooted in helping to ease significant stressors for families and children facing transplants; COTA’s assistance is available to families before, during and after the surgery occurs. This organization fills an important need in our society.”

Dr. Treviño holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Baylor University in Texas, a Master’s degree in Sociology from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Illinois, and a Doctorate degree in Higher Education from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

His enthusiasm about COTA’s truthfulness and its focus to help families who are going through such difficult times convinced me to be part of this team. We are diverse in our social and cultural realms, but we are the kind of species that tends to rely on others whether we are experiencing hardships or collectively celebrating accomplishments. Each time a COTA kid successfully beats the odds is a true celebration of life, and I want to be a part – although miniscule – of such magical moments.”
