The Children’s Organ Transplant Association and Transplant Families are Joining Forces
After much discussion and discernment, the leadership of the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA.org) and Transplant Families (TransplantFamilies.org) are uniting to better serve transplant families nationwide with expanded program offerings, and a wider and more comprehensive focus.
COTA is celebrating its 40th year of being, “The Trusted Leader Supporting Transplant Families.” By officially uniting with one of its long-time partners, Transplant Families, both groups’ programs and services will be enhanced for families facing transplant throughout the country. Transplant Families is in its 9th year of supporting families, and has more than 5,000 patients, parents and caregivers utilizing their programs.
As the costs of transplants continue to skyrocket … and as families need additional resources to address not only the financial but also the emotional aspects of a transplant journey … COTA and Transplant Families joining forces will offer support and guidance with financial and emotional challenges. Together, COTA and Transplant Families will help many more patients and families who may just be starting their journey – and those who have been traveling this road for decades. We look forward to making a greater impact and providing our support into the future.
