6 week update

Hi all Anna here!

6 weeks ago tonight I got the call that would change everything.  SO much has happened since it’s crazy to think it’s only been 6 weeks and at the same time 6 weeks feels like a lifetime ago.  Things are moving forward, slowly but surely.  A lot of my issues have kind of resolved themselves which I am so thankful for.  These new lungs are working great!  My lung function is up to where it was a year and a half ago and you could hardly tell I had a lung problem then!  Working out is another story, but for the first time in a long time I can actually walk and bike to the point that my legs are tired but I can still breath so progress can finally be made.  I’ve been tracking my distance walking at rehab and in the hospital by doing a virtual race and so far I have logged over 50 miles!  Take that chronic rejection!  Last week I had my first post second transplant biopsy done.  These are done at scheduled intervals and when there are problems to check for rejection and infection and I am happy to announce I have NO REJECTION!!! Hoping to keep it this way for a long time!  Welp im off to sleep!  Healing takes a lot of energy so my days basically consist of eating, sleeping and working out, oh and of course watching all my favorite childhood movies

  1. You are awesome Anna! Keep up the great work! ???????????? Tremendous gratitude to all that helped make your transplant and recovery happen!

  2. Oh Anna!!! What a great tenacity you have! So glad for all of the good news and I keep you in prayer to be lifted in your spirit as you go through all the hard work that this journey brings and held close to the God of love and comfort for the times of discouragement. What encouragement you are to me today – thank you.
