Today is Mother’s Day and it’s been a little over two months since Anthony had his transplant. He has gone from two appointments to one appointment per week with his nephrologist. While he is doing amazing, there have been quite a few adjustments he’s had to make. Now he has to take in way more fluid than he was allowed on dialysis. His meds are constantly changing, prednisone has made him one of the hungriest people alive lol. He is being diligent with his diet and has been walking at least three miles four times a week. 

His freshman year at JMU has come to an end and we’re excited about his continued recovery and sophomore year. 

Things he has to remember:

Wear sunscreen 

No eating from buffets 

Constantly wash hands and ask others to do the same

Avoid big crowds

He’s had a couple of days of being nauseous and slight pain here and there but he’s a trooper!
