Beau is currently 9 months old, and he is truly the bubbliest little boy. He lights up every room with his smile and can’t help but grin anytime someone talks to him. Lately, he’s been busy mastering some of the sweetest milestones – clapping his hands, waving “hi,” and dancing whenever he hears music. One of his favorite things is watching his big brother Mason, and the two of them share the sweetest giggles together.
Right now, we’re slowly introducing solid foods to Beau. It comes with its challenges between his feeding tube and the pressure on his belly from his enlarged liver, but he continues to show us just how strong and determined he is. We know he’ll get there in his own time.
As of now, Beau is considered stable, and that stability has given our family such a special gift – the chance to simply live and make memories together. We’ve been soaking up days at the zoo, playing at the park, splashing outside at his water table, and enjoying all the little moments that mean so much.
This time also allows Beau to keep growing stronger and bigger as we prepare for the day he receives his transplant. Until then, even with all the appointments, therapies, and medications, we are choosing to focus on the present—soaking in the joy, the laughter, and the beautiful moments in between.
