On Friday after school we visited a local business, and one of the employees asked how Boothe was feeling. He was so touched that she was concerned about him and thankful for her kind words. We have had so many people (some we have never even met) tell us that he has been added to prayer lists and that they have shared his story with others. A donation was given to provide all of the fourth grade at Boothe’s school with Boothe’s Battle bracelets, so that his friends could show their support.Local businesses have shown their support with dine and donate nights, benefits for COTA for Boothe’s Battle, and so many generous donations.I also can’t forget our amazing family members behind the scenes that coordinate the COTA for Boothe’s Battle website, facebook page, and arrange fundraisers. I could go on and on for days about all of the texts, emails, phone calls, and donations received. We feel so much love from the members of our community all the time and I want to use this post to simply share how grateful we are! It is so easy to take the amazing community we live in, the kindess of our friends, and the love of our family for granted. But in the last several months, we have been reminded time and time again, that we are surrounded by amazing people. There aren’t words to express how much we love and appreciate each and every single one of you. But know that we absolutely do. Boothe feels all the love and support coming his way! Five weeks from today he will be checking in and it will be the day before surgery. I know that all of your prayers and well wishes will quiet his anxiety and help him rally through his recovery!
