Dad’s Back to School Update 9/5/2022

After more than a year since her transplant journey restarted, Elizabeth is finally back in school.  She went up to the campus for her first class on 8/26 (see photo) and today (9/5) is doing the first shift of her ‘practicum’ (required to shadow/assist a nurse for 144 hours). She will also do her critical care clinicals later in the semester. We are all looking forward to her graduation (with B.S. Nursing) this coming December. Thank you all for your continuing prayers, support, and encouragement.

While I was not touched by a song on the radio recently, I was poking around online and one immediately came to my attention.  It is “Run the Race” by Holly Starr [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvf3_Biu9es].  And the Bible verse for today is 1 Corinthians 9: 25-27 [NIV] which says, “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
