The last two days have been fantastic. Although Ela is still not sleeping at night as much as we would like to se her sleeping, she is getting a solid nap around noon which helps her keep her strength throughout the day.
Our little warrior has had lots of visitors over the last 48 hours. Aya and Ayo were able to spend some time with her yesterday (thank you, friends back home for watching over and caring for the boys). Her furry friend, Nettle, stopped by to check in on her (they haven’t hung out in a couple of weeks). Today, her aunt Lala spent the day with her playing, doing crafts, and watching movies. Things are going really well!
From time to time, Ela will complain about something hurting or something being uncomfortable. To our amazement though, she hasn’t been on pain meds for several days. She only gets Tylenol as she needs it.
The highlight of the day was seeing her walk the halls of the CICU. This is her first full walk since her transplant and she went above and beyond our expectations. She needed very little help and never said that she was tired. By God’s grace we will be moving back to the CCU (step down unit) on Monday. Thank you Lord for your hand on her recovery, thank you all for your faithful prayers.
