Transplant Post-Op Day 13

Today is a little bit of a discouraging day. In all honesty, I am in need of reminding myself of Philippians 4:6 again tonight…. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

Praise the Lord the heart is still pumping and squeezing just beautifully! When I see her oxygen saturations in the 90s and her whole 4-chamber hero heart during the echocardiograms I am overcome with gratitude.

However, Ela has had some concerning factors creep up in the last couple of days and especially today. I won’t go into details right now because honestly we are overwhelmed with information and trying to understand everything ourselves. Just pray for her to start feeling better and for wisdom for us, the doctors as we navigate these hurdles that she faces. She also goes for a cath on Friday where they will do a biopsy to check for rejection. That cath will determine several things moving forward. But in the meantime, we need to focus on getting some of these other challenges sorted out. Thanks for your prayers! We especially appreciate them today.

  1. Just as Pastor Philip instructed us on Sunday, we are praying without ceasing. Sending prayers and much love🙏❤️

  2. O our precioous and almighty Father God, we ask You as the all knowing Father to unscramble these issues with little Ela and pray that this is the perfect and unique heart for her. In Christ’s name! Amen

  3. She is being uplifted everyday by prayer warriors that we don’t know . God’s timing is perfect. Love to all and prayers for strength and wisdom.

  4. We pray for you constantly. My husband had a lung transplant about 8.5 miles north of you. There were some scary times in the first couple weeks. I can’t even imagine what you are going through with sweet little Ela. Praying for peace, rest, and strength.

  5. Praying now and throughout the days for God’s healing and mercy. We will be especially praying on Friday for the cath. Thank you for updating us. Our prayers for you are many as well. We love you all.

  6. Continually in prayer for Ela’s body to adapt to her new heart and that God’s healing touch will not allow rejection. Praying also for added strength for you and Leslee.
