Transplant Rejection: Cath Results 1/7/26

Ela’s cath yesterday went relatively smooth with just a mild complication of an infiltrate from one of her IVs. Thanks for praying for the procedure. These are pretty routine for her by this point, but there’s always risks.

The cath showed improved heart pressures! This is good! But, it did also show decreased cardiac output. Thankfully, it’s very mild. The rejection biopsy results came back this afternoon. There are still rejection signs present, however it is improved. This means the treatments are working, but the rejection isn’t totally gone. Yet, we are happy to say that she will be discharged tonight! We will go home tomorrow! The team thinks she is at a place that the continued rejection treatments can be done out-patient.

The plan moving forward is 1) another infusion in 2 weeks along with labs, echo, and all the appointment things 2) monthly treatments and follow-ups after that with close monitoring of certain blood tests 3) continuing on the now 7 meds she is on, and 4) another cath with biopsies in March/April. Then we will go from there.

Thanks for praying!
