Ela Update: Cath Tuesday 3/18

Hi everyone! Quick update to let you know that Ela and I (Leslee) are back in Philly for appointments this week with a heart cath on Tuesday to check her pressures and any signs of rejection. Pray all goes well and we can head home on Wednesday. We will continue these monthly visits through September, but hopefully this will be her last cath for a while! Her “sepsis wound” is healing very well now, but still there so continued prayers for that are appreciated.

With this nicer weather we have had, Ela has enjoyed running, jumping, climbing, and playing with her brothers in a way she has never gotten to before! She’s so proud of showing off one of her new skills—jumping with both feet off the ground at the same time. It’s been such a joy and “Thank you, God” moment to see for which we are forever grateful. Her most recent wake up song of the morning (unprompted, all her) is “This is Our God” by Phil Wickham. I love that Ela is such a song bird and hearing her sing seems to always bring a smile to my face.

Here are some of the lyrics to the song she’s been singing in the mornings:

”Remember those giants we called death and grave?
They were like mountains that stood in our way
But He came, and He died, and He rose
Those giants are dead now

This is our God, this is who He is
He loves us
This is our God, this is what He does
He saves us
He bore the cross, beat the grave
Let Heaven and Earth proclaim
This is our God, King Jesus”
