I know it’s July now, but here’s an update on how Ela’s June appointments went! Tests confirm her heart is functioning well. God is still answering prayers! Here’s just one way He has answered our prayers this past month:
In May, Ela’s antibody markers (which can indicate possible rejection) were on the rise again. (I’m not sure we posted about that). We prayed for God to bring those down so she wouldn’t have to do IVIG treatments again. This month (June), they were down-trending! So no more all-day IVIG infusion treatments as of now!
Please continue to pray for these things:
This month, her liver numbers were elevated. Please pray those come down and do not continue to rise. Her team has added on an extra appointment, on top of the usual monthly appointments, for July due to these elevated numbers and they are keeping a close eye on this.
Continue to pray for the donor family. We are in the process of writing and submitting a letter. I feel that words can’t convey the depth of gratitude we have. We may never hear back or never get to meet (although I hope we do). But they and their child will always hold a special place in our lives.
This month has been another of rejoicing and celebrating all the physical things Ela gets to enjoy for the first time or experience in a new way! We watched her play in the ocean, run in relay games, and enjoy water play all while having energy to keep going, pink lips/fingers/toes, and so much fun she didn’t want to stop! All praise to God for the amazingly great things He has done!
Oh, what a blessing your family is! We so enjoyed seeing all of you! God is good!
Oh bless yall. Mama has been asking me if any recent info! So good to hear this good news and so thankful & happy shes enjoying “kid life” now! Its got to be so good to see her like this finally and be together as a family now! Thx so much for this great update. Will pray esp for her liver #s to get right. And on the donor familt, just cant imagine so bittersweet. Pray yall will meet soon

It makes me so happy for that sweet girl to be able to enjoy all the things. I am so glad there is mostly good news for now! I wish I could have been on the mountain this year to hear how God has worked in all this. I can’t imagine all that you all have been through and I know this journey is not finished.
