Overdue Update/Good News!

10/18/26

Ela’s latest Allosure (transplant rejection lab test) came back and is in NORMAL range at 0.08! This is a huge deal! Thank you, Jesus! This number means that most likely little-to-no active rejection is happening right now! Now, there is the possibility that this number is low yet there is still rejection. But since her other labs looks great (for Ela, compared to previous) in conjunction with this Allosure result, the team is hopeful that the Dara infusions are doing their job. So with all that being said, we get a few weeks “off” from having to go to Philly and get to just enjoy life at home!

The next big thing will be her heart catheterization. This will take place in a couple of weeks on November 3. Ela and I will be in Philly for that whole week as we prep for cath and she has maintenance IVIg infusion treatment in attempt to keep rejection at bay. Some information about her heart we will know right after the cath procedure is done. Some information, like biopsies, will take a few days to come back. Ela’s future treatment plan rides on the results of this cath. The slightest change can alter the treatment plan at any moment. But for now we are enjoying being home while she is looking and feeling so well.

We continue to praise the Lord for getting us through so many trips to Philly this far! It’s been tough—maybe more on mom than Ela. She’s handled it like a champ! We don’t know what the future holds, but we know the One who holds the future. And we are confident that whatever lies ahead beyond November 3, that He will be there proving His faithfulness time and time again like He always does.

Thanks for your continued love and prayers along the journey!

“Because of the LORD’s faithful love we do not perish, for his mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness! I say, “The LORD is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in him.””
