Today was a busy day. Gillian was admitted at 10am, they wanted her here the day before her surgery for lots of bloodwork, an EKG and to place her IV to start hydrating her today. She has been on clear liquids only today and has been so optimistic and incredible through this whole journey. We had about a dozen specialists from her team come to visit today and talk about the next steps. The surgical team will come to get her at 6:30am, after we do all the other clearances down in surgery they will take her back. Her surgeon said she would be with the anesthesia team for about 1 hr before he is ready to start. They will be placing a central line (IV in her neck), an arterial line in her lower arm and a couple other catheters before they can start the surgery. Please pray for this amazing, strong girl and all the wonderful people here caring for her!
