Meaningful Masks: Spread the Word!

Hello From Heeth’s Mom:

I hope this post finds all folks well and enjoying the changing colors of fall.  Thank you to our family and friends that check in from time to time.  Heeth’s recovery continues: obstacles come up, more tests are run, medicines are trialed, and we continue to push forward.  Heeth has been able to continue his studies, thanks to his amazing tutor, joins in his class virtually, and has gotten to play on a soccer team, with modifications. Heeth’s determination to get better keeps me inspired and even on his tough days, he finds a reason to laugh or make a joke.

Heeth has a BIG step coming up..one that he has not had in 929 days: Heeth has been cleared to begin coming back into school!!!  This is something I wasn’t sure would even be able to happen this year and we are all so happy about this big moment for our buddy!

Due to Heeth’s compromised immune system, his school day will not look like a traditional day, being modified in time to 1 hour.  But on October 11th, we are planning for our buddy to return to his 5th grade class!

In an act of kindness, support, and unity for our friend Heeth, we are inviting all Newburyport Molin and Nock students to consider wearing a mask on Heeth’s first day back to help him with this huge transition back to school.  Our family will be purchasing “fun” masks for any of Heeth’s friends (or fans) to wear on this day.

If your Molin or Nock student is interested in supporting Heeth at school on Tuesday, October 11th, we will have a bag of “fun” masks outside by our mailbox, from 10-5, for you to pick up for your child on Monday October 10th.

Thank you for considering to support our buddy!  Please comment below if your child is interested to give us an estimate of how many masks to get: thank you!

HUGE HUGS FROM HEETH!

With Love,

Heeth’s Mom

Super excited to go back to school!
