Update 1/28

This magical human had a dream that she was going to get her heart last Sunday, January 22nd.

Then believe it or not, on Monday the doctor walked into her hospital room in which she had been for close to a month because things had gotten critical, and told her that dream was correct: she was getting a heart the next day!!

Ivy had successful surgery on Tuesday and by Wednesday was extubated and breathing on her own! Words do not seem to be enough when expressing our gratitude to the donor family and to the medical staff at UCLA Children’s Hospital.

Ivy’s parents, family, and friends can’t thank all of you enough for your donations to COTA for Ivy. Now is when the funds will be needed the most as her parents stay home with Ivy as she recovers. Your donations to COTA in honor of Ivy will assist with a lifetime of transplant-related expenses.

If you can donate more, please do. If you can’t, THANK YOU for whatever amount you donated. We are asking one more favor of you, however: please spread the joy we have in our hearts to your loved ones and share this link to your network so we can hit our goal of $95K.
