It’s rare for me to be speechless, but right now, we are just completely overwhelmed and in awe.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. To everyone who came out to show your love for Jacob, and to all those who couldn’t be there but sent a thoughtful messages online, we were stunned by your love and generosity. This night was only possible because of an incredible community, and we are so thankful to our wonderful donors to COTA, our fantastic volunteers, our amazing COTA committee, and for the team who ran the event: Judy, Jerry, Christina, and Chris.

This experience was incredible, and it came at the perfect time. As we prepare Jake for the transition to St. Louis this week, we are carrying the strength of this experience with us. I know the love we felt during this COTA event will help sustain us through the difficult times ahead, both during the waiting and in those challenging post-op days. “Thank you” simply doesn’t feel big enough. We are just so grateful for this amazing community that has and continues to lift us up.
